Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alysian Karalis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pete Ruent (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Karalis comes into the arena with High Hopes by Pink Floyd blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Pete Ruent enters the cage!

The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Alyssa Summers and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Karalis moves out of range of the leg kick from Ruent.
Karalis lands with a thumping leg kick.
Karalis ducks under a wild hook from Ruent.
Karalis keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Ruent goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Karalis looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
A looping hook to the body misses from Karalis. Ruent does a little dance to reset his feet.
Karalis misses the jab.
Karalis misses with a wild combination.
Karalis will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Karalis throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Karalis throws an overhand right that lands on Ruent's shoulder, as Ruent tries to avoid the shot.
Ruent scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Karalis tries to score with a low kick but Ruent moves his leg out of the way.
Karalis connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Karalis throws a looping overhand right but Ruent ducks down to avoid it.
A swing and a miss from Karalis.
Karalis lands a big head kick that sends Ruent to the canvas! Karalis follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!
