Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jacob Stevenson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Drizzt Do Urden!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, John Roberts and John Kavanagh.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Do Urden tries to land a front kick but Stevenson steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Stevenson moves out of range as Do Urden throws a body kick.
Stevenson throws a head kick but Do Urden moves out of range.
Stevenson lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Do Urden throws a half hearted mid kick.

Stevenson moves into the clinch successfully.
Stevenson avoids the elbow strike from Do Urden, against the cage.
Stevenson on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Stevenson prevents Do Urden from breaking the clinch.
Do Urden tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

Stevenson manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Do Urden trying to control the position from guard on top but Stevenson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Do Urden throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Stevenson works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Do Urden tries to free his leg and advance position but Stevenson is retaining full guard.
Stevenson wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Do Urden pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Stevenson is keeping the position for now.
Do Urden has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Stevenson has his hands on Do Urden's head, controlling the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Jacob Stevenson.
Do Urden tries to move into range but Stevenson moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Drizzt Do Urden is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Stevenson moves into the clinch.
Do Urden trying to land knees to the body.
Stevenson is trying to break the clinch but Do Urden is controlling him.
Do Urden tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Stevenson avoids it.
Do Urden is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Stevenson is defending well for now.

Stevenson wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Do Urden is trying to push Stevenson away but Stevenson has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Do Urden's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Stevenson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Do Urden tries to avoid it but Stevenson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Do Urden to the ground. Do Urden escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Do Urden pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Stevenson lands a jab.


Do Urden is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Do Urden throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Do Urden is still on wobbly legs! Can Stevenson finish him?
Stevenson lands a jab to Do Urden's midsection.
Do Urden seems to have recovered his senses.
Do Urden looks winded!
Stevenson looks for a takedown but Do Urden sprawls well.
Do Urden throws a low kick but Stevenson moves out of range easily.
Stevenson misses with a head kick.
Stevenson connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Do Urden! He's out on his feet! Stevenson rushes in and drops Do Urden with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Jacob Stevenson!
