Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Nathan Martin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Dominic Pesina! The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Josh West and Micheangelo Fripello.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Martin throws a shot to the body.
Pesina looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Pesina throws a head kick that misses. Martin looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Pesina! Martin wants to control but Pesina is keeping him busy. Pesina prevents Martin from improving position. Martin trying to control the position but Pesina is working away.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Nathan Martin. A momentary lapse in concentration from Pesina enables Martin to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Pesina manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Pesina has a closed guard, preventing Martin from standing up. Martin sitting in guard, not really doing much. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Pesina lands a couple of digs. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Martin stands up and waves to Pesina to follow him. Dominic Pesina seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Martin fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Pesina checks it well. Martin darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Martin wants to pass the guard but Pesina is defending well. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Nathan Martin is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
