Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gerritt Cole (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nursultan Tuliegbay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Steve Smith and Yves DeLean.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tuliegbay shoots in for a takedown but Cole shows good takedown defense.
Cole's jab looks to have found its range, popping Tuliegbay under the eye.
Tuliegbay tries to clinch but Cole moves out of range.
Tuliegbay scores with a shot to the body.
Tuliegbay misses the shot to the body.

Cole dives in and scores a takedown into Tuliegbay's guard.

Tuliegbay has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Cole can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Tuliegbay controls Cole momentarily but Cole frees himself.

Tuliegbay has his foot on Cole's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Cole works his way back into a safe position though.

Cole postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Cole cracks Tuliegbay with a solid left hand.
Tuliegbay is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Cole is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Tuliegbay's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Tuliegbay's back!
Cole misses with an elbow to the head.
Tuliegbay looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
Cole is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at Tuliegbay. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Will Cole go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?

You can see the frustration on Tuliegbay's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Cole trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.

Tuliegbay is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Cole gets his way!

Cole is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Tuliegbay has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Cole is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
