The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Guy wants to clinch.
Guy gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Shamrock counters with a left and a right that stings Guy.
Guy doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Shamrock cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Guy tries for a takedown but Shamrock circles away easily
and Shamrock counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Nick Shamrock has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of That Guy.
Guy tries to clinch but Shamrock moves out of range.
Guy closes the distance but Shamrock moves to the side
and Shamrock counters with a straight right hand.

Guy shoots in but Shamrock avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Guy has his takedown stuffed
and Shamrock counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Guy throws a leg kick that is checked
and Shamrock counters with a straight right hand.
Guy is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Guy tries to clinch but Shamrock moves away
and Shamrock counters with a nice leg kick.
Guy fails in his attempt to clinch.

Shamrock clinches up against the cage.
Shamrock lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Guy backwards.
Shamrock is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Guy takes an elbow to the forehead.
Guy has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Shamrock avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Shamrock connects with a nasty looking knee right to Guy's face.

Guy is still on wobbly legs! Can Shamrock finish him?
Shamrock looking to throw knees to the head but Guy is blocking nicely.
Shamrock throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Guy blocks it with crossed arms.
Shamrock working the clinch nicely. Guy is working for position but Shamrock cracks him with a big knee to the head! Guy crumples up against the cage and Shamrock lands two more shots before the ref can save Guy! This one is all over!

Nick Shamrock decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
