Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Greg Anthony (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vin Voss (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Voss has chosen Face The Pain-Stemm as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Greg Anthony! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Vin Voss! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Robert Twigg and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Voss connects with the punch. Anthony connects with a leg kick. Voss looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. A low kick from Anthony misses and Voss counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Voss wants to lay and pray for a moment but Anthony keeps working. Voss is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Voss working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Voss throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Voss thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Voss tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Anthony.
That's one minute gone in the round. Voss wants to control but Anthony is keeping him busy. Anthony trying to control here.
Anthony is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Voss is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Anthony is staying active underneath Voss, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Vin Voss has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Anthony scores with a spinning back kick! Anthony throws a low kick but it's checked well by Voss. No luck with that takedown attempt from Anthony.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Voss keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Voss shoots for a takedown but Anthony saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Voss lands with a thumping leg kick.
Anthony walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Voss checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Anthony. Anthony lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Voss looks winded! This has been an exciting period of action! Voss scores with a takedown into Anthony's guard. Anthony trying to keep a closed guard but Voss is proving a slippery customer.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Voss wants to stand and escape but instead Anthony has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Anthony throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Voss works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Anthony passes Voss's left leg - he's now in half guard. Anthony is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Voss doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Anthony. Anthony seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Anthony with the ground and pound but Voss uses the opportunity to regain guard. Anthony loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Anthony drops back looking for a leg! Voss is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Voss manages to kick Anthony off! Anthony jumps back into Voss's guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Voss working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Anthony. Voss avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Anthony throwing strikes but missing. Anthony postures up in Voss's guard and throws a big left but Voss blocks it. Anthony trying to control but Voss is working from the bottom. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Voss looking to hit a scissor sweep but Anthony is one step ahead there. Anthony trying to control but Voss is working from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Greg Anthony dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Good leg kick by Voss there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Anthony scoring well with a low kick there.
Voss misses with a kick to the body.
Voss blocks the body kick.
Voss shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Voss is keen to just control but Anthony is a slippery customer. Voss is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Anthony is just riding it out for now. Voss eventually gives up the hold. Anthony makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Anthony.
That's one minute gone in the round. Anthony bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Voss's guard. Anthony loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Anthony wants to stand but Voss is controlling his posture from full guard. Anthony drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Voss manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Anthony has Voss in his guard. Anthony has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Anthony preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Vin Voss has got the better of the ground game so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Voss postures up.
Voss is looking to stand up but Anthony won't let him. Anthony is trying to keep Voss in close.
Anthony manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

That's three minutes gone in the round. Voss is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Voss blocking the ground and pound. Voss is squirming around, avoiding Anthony's attempts to control the action. Anthony throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. Anthony lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
It looks like Vin Voss has been cut. Anthony looking to control but Voss is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Anthony misses with a head shot. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Poor strikes thrown by Anthony there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Anthony can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Voss is looking to escape. Voss is hanging on here. He's in a desperate position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Voss tries to improve his position but Anthony has taken his back! Anthony has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Voss tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Anthony pushes Voss away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
