PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jayden Dunn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Frank (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dunn comes to the cage accompanied by run this town. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jayden Dunn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jason Frank!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Dmitry Maklakov and Aleksandr Martynov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Frank avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Dunn changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Frank looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Frank wants to get back to his feet but Dunn drags him back down.

Dunn goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Frank has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Dunn but great work by Frank.
Dunn knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Frank on the ground.
Frank wants to stand but Dunn has his arm trapped.

Frank stands up.

Dunn fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Frank to the ground. Dunn is now in Frank's guard.

Dunn decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Frank shoots and misses

and Dunn counters with a shoot takedown. Frank fights it but they end up in guard.
Dunn wants to control from the top but Frank keeps moving.

Frank has his feet on Dunn's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Frank tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Dunn manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Dunn shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Frank should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Frank is working an open guard so Dunn takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Dunn really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Dunn swings and misses with a shot to the body

and Frank counters by clinching up.

Dunn has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Frank is trying to keep an underhook but Dunn manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Dunn stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Frank to get to his feet.

Dunn has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Frank is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Dunn is trying to pull guard but Frank has him pressed against the cage.

Frank tightens his grip and picks Dunn up, before dumping him to the ground. Dunn manages to land in guard.

Dunn wants to stand up but Frank is controlling him.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Dunn is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Frank misses with a takedown attempt

and Dunn counters by clinching up.
Frank is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Dunn to keep the fight standing.
Jayden Dunn has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jason Frank.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Dunn keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Frank's efforts to push away.

Dunn jumps guard and drags Frank to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

and Dunn holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Dunn tries to pull guard but Frank holds him up against the cage and eventually Dunn drops back down to his feet.

Dunn manages to break the clinch.

That's time! Dunn's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


Dunn throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Horrible takedown by Dunn or perhaps it was just good defense by Frank which made him look bad.

Dunn is trying to control the action in half guard but Frank is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Frank is staying active underneath Dunn, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Dunn is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Frank is just riding it out for now. Dunn eventually gives up the hold.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Frank tries for a takedown but Dunn sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Dunn is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Frank can do to turn this around?
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
