The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fom lands a nice leg kick that just misses Drozdov's sensitive parts.

Fom feints and then cracks Drozdov's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Drozdov down.
Fom darts in and clinches Drozdov up against the cage.
Fom goes for a takedown in the clinch but Drozdov prevents it.
A frustrated look appears on Drozdov's face as he tries to break the clinch.
A head punch on the inside from Drozdov fails to land.
Fom pushes Drozdov back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

Fom changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Drozdov tries to avoid it but Fom manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Drozdov to the ground. Drozdov escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Mike Fom seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Fom ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Fom no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Drozdov controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Fom escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Drozdov gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Drozdov decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Fom, up you get!
Fom scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Drozdov is defended easily by Fom.
