Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Madison Grant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Josh Gardner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Grant's entrance music is donald wheres your troosers. A fine choice. Madison Grant has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Colin Fotheringham and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gardner throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Grant stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Gardner lands a nice looking body kick.
Gardner scores with a nice body kick.
Grant takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Gardner connects with a right hand. Grant shakes it off.
Gardner scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
A jab lands there for Gardner.
It looks like Madison Grant has been cut.
Gardner throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Gardner works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
The fighters circle momentarily. Gardner darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Good leg kick by Gardner there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Grant is breathing heavily.

Grant has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Gardner cracks Grant with a right hand to the side of the head.
Gardner stuns Grant with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Grant throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Gardner's waist but Gardner gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Grant off to one side.
Gardner moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Grant's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Gardner connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Grant scrambles back to his feet.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Gardner scores with a sloppy right hand. Grant should have avoided that one.
Grant drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Grant has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Gardner.

A kick lands to the mid section there for Gardner.
Gardner thows a body kick. Grant tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Gardner dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
The crowd cheers as Gardner lands an impressive looking overhand right. Grant doesn't seem phased though.

Gardner fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
That kick from Gardner tenderised Grant's leg. Grant is trying to keep his angry face on.
Grant takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Gardner gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Gardner moves into range and clinches up with Grant.
Gardner digs a right hand into Grant's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Grant's gas tank.

Gardner stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Grant takes an elbow to the temple.
Gardner breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Grant takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Gardner is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Grant had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

Gardner lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Grant looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.

Gardner buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Gardner scores with a head kick. Grant tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Grant sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Gardner takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Gardner explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Gardner closes the distance and clinches.

Jeez, Madison Grant's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
