Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Crash Holly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Timmy Newman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Crash Holly! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Timmy Newman! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Holly shoots for a double leg takedown but Newman sprawls well. He's pushed Holly's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Newman cracks Holly with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
It looks like Crash Holly has been cut. Newman doesn't manage to clinch there - Holly circles away.
Crash Holly seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Holly drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Holly throwing strikes but missing. Holly slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Holly is trying to get an arm triangle but Newman is defending well. Holly tries to move to mount but Newman blocks the move with his legs.
That's one minute gone in the round. Holly tries for a kimura but Newman is defending well. Holly tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Newman tries to improve position but can't. Holly advances nicely into full mount. Holly is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Newman has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Newman!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Holly is looking for a triangle here but Newman uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Holly is looking to regain half guard here but Newman keeps moving and retains side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Holly can't do much from the bottom here. Holly is trying to get back to half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Holly sneaks back into half guard. Holly manages to get to full guard.
Holly has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Newman can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Crash Holly dominated that round. The cut man is working on Crash Holly's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Holly throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Newman lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Holly darts in and clinches Newman up against the cage. Holly tries to pull guard but Newman forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Holly tries for a takedown. No joy.
Holly is trying to break the clinch but Newman has him pressed against the cage. Holly fails to pull the fight into his guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Crash Holly. That's going to take a lot out of him. Holly tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Holly decides to pull guard. Holly working for a triangle but Newman defends it easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Holly is looking for a triangle here but Newman uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Holly is trying to control Newman's posture but Newman avoids it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Holly tries to get back to half guard but can't. Holly is working hard here to advance position. Holly struggling a bit here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Holly manages to get back to half guard. Holly looking for submissions off his back. Newman wants to control but Holly is keeping him busy.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Timmy Newman hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Newman lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
No luck for Holly with that takedown attempt. Newman shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Newman was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Holly tries to get back to half guard but can't. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Crash Holly will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Crash Holly's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Newman looks to land a combination. Holly sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Newman gets the takedown into side control. Holly is looking to reverse the position. Holly is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Newman's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Newman trying to advance position but Holly counters by regaining guard. Holly had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Newman defends it easily. Newman really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Holly. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's one minute gone in the round. Holly is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Crash Holly overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Holly trying to control the position.
Holly will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Newman preventing the sweep. Newman is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Holly has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Newman is looking to defend but Holly has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Newman! Holly pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Newman taps out and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Crash Holly! Crash Holly is the new lightweight champion!
