Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mata Usi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Simon Humble (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Damien Edna and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice shot lands for Humble.
Usi wants to clinch up but Humble keeps it at a distance.
Usi shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Humble defends it nicely.
Usi fails with the takedown.
Humble swats away the attempt to clinch by Usi.
Humble throws a jab but it's blocked by Usi.
Usi tries to clinch but Humble is having none of it.
Usi fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Humble tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Usi manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Usi rushes Humble and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Usi jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Humble walks away with a smile on his face. Usi gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Humble tries to clinch there but Usi circles away.
Usi misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Humble is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Usi.
Usi misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Usi pivots, looking for a leg kick but Humble is out of range and Usi settles back down.

Usi keeps the fight on the outside.
Humble leaves Usi with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Humble throws a right and a left that Usi avoids nicely.
Usi circles away from the clinch attempt.
Usi throws a solid leg kick but Humble takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Usi.
Humble fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Usi, pushing him back against the cage.

Humble tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Humble is stalling here.

Humble breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Humble waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Usi.

Humble looks for a takedown but Usi sprawls well.
Humble lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Usi circles away quickly and effectively.

and Humble counters with a nice double leg into side control. Usi won't be happy with that.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Humble wants to control but Usi is keeping him busy.
Humble thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Usi clinches.
Usi looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Usi slowing the pace effectively.

Humble trying to stand up but can't free himself from Usi's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Usi looking to hit a scissor sweep but Humble is one step ahead there.

Humble drops back looking for a leg! Usi is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Usi manages to kick Humble off! Humble jumps back into Usi's guard.
Usi throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Humble tries to stand but Usi is controlling from the bottom.
Usi is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Usi working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Humble doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Humble manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Usi manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Humble holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Usi tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

Usi tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Humble is squirming around, avoiding Usi's attempts to control the action.
Humble is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.

Usi goes for an armbar but Humble turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Humble.

Humble wants to stand but Usi has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Usi wants to stand and escape but Humble is having none of it.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Usi shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Humble pinned against the cage. Humble gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Usi is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Humble pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Humble walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Usi keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Usi closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Humble has taken the fight to the clinch.
Humble's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Humble avoids the head kick by Usi.
Humble defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Usi.
Humble cracks a nice hook into Usi's ribs.
Mata Usi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Humble tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Usi manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Humble tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Usi just stands there and leans against the cage.

Usi is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Humble gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Usi manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Humble with a flurry of punches that miss.
Humble tries to free his leg and advance position but Usi is retaining full guard.
Usi has his foot on Humble's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Humble works his way back into a safe position though.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Humble would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Mata Usi.
I think Usi has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
