Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mark Green! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Luther King! The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Valeri Chadov and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! King throws a wild combination but nothing lands. King goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Green misses with a takedown attempt - King sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Green drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Green taking a breather here. Green's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. King can't do much from the bottom here.
That's one minute gone in the round. A lull in the action here as Green stalls from top position.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Mark Green wasn't doing enough on the ground. Nice sprawl there from King as Green shoots in. King throws a series of punches but Green avoids them all with ease. A combination from King does no damage. King slaps away a takedown attempt from Green, before circling back to the center of the mat. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mark Green. That's going to take a lot out of him. Green manages to get an easy takedown there - catching King on his heels. He'll look to pass King's guard now, I'm sure.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Green wants to stand but King has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Green stops King from standing up. Green not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Green wants to pass the guard but King is keeping the position. Green controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Green slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! A lull in the action here as Green stalls from top position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Green moves into full mount! Green controlling from the full mount. King tries to reverse the position but Green maintains control. King is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Green controlling the pace for now. King tries to hold on but Green pushes him away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. King really wants to buck Green off and get back to his feet. Green takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. King wants to hold on but Green pushes him away. Green controlling from the full mount. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Green dives in and grabs King's left leg, looking for a takedown. King pushes down on Green's head and hops out. King wants to clinch but Green slips to the side and Green moves into the clinch. King throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Green blocks it with crossed arms. Green is working for takedown but King is calmly controlling the position for now. King misses with an elbow over the top. King lands an elbow inside that Green shrugs off. King with an attempt at a knee that misses.

That's one minute gone in the round. King turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Green gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. King sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Green defending well though. Green actively working from the bottom here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Green works his way to full guard. Good work. Green wants to sweep here but King controlling him for the moment. King must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. King tries to free his leg and advance position but Green is retaining full guard. Green on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Green tries to get out of the position. King tries to stand but Green is controlling from the bottom. King stopping the sweep attempt from Green. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Green is on top in guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Green connects with a couple of short punches. Green's corner is telling him to maintain position. Mark Green overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Luther King is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. King pushes Green up against the cage in a clinch. Green tries for a takedown. No joy.

King has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Green is proving hard to escape from. King postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Green manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Green tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Mark Green will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

That's one minute gone in the round. Green seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down King for as long as he can get away with. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Mark Green is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Mark Green just wasn't active enough. King lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by King. King misses the shot to the body. Green closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. King did well to prevent Green getting side control. Green works his way into full mount! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Green sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Green is looking for a takedown up against the cage. King gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Luther King has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Green gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Mark Green showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Green, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
