The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Omielanczuk has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Verbana.
Verbana throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Omielanczuk takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Verbana throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Omielanczuk sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Verbana swings for the body but Omielanczuk moves out of range.
Omielanczuk clinches up with Verbana and pushes him back against the cage.
Omielanczuk tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Verbana smiles and moves away.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Verbana scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Omielanczuk jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Verbana walks away with a smile on his face. Omielanczuk gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Omielanczuk moves into the clinch.
Omielanczuk fails to pull the fight into his guard.
John Verbana has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Daniel Omielanczuk.

Daniel Omielanczuk seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Verbana cracks Omielanczuk with a brutal left hook that knocks him out cold! This one is over in a flash! Game over!
