Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jon Snow Junior! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Hugh Jackman! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Gregory Folan and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jackman bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Snow Junior misses with a lunging right hand
and Jackman counters with a straight right hand. Snow Junior throws a jab when Jackman was well out of range. Jackman fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Snow Junior checks it well. Snow Junior misses with a head kick.
Jackman on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Jackman thuds his right hand into Snow Junior's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. An inside leg kick from Jackman misses. A slow jab from Jackman misses its intended target. Snow Junior thows a body kick. Jackman tries to catch it but that hurt him. Nice straight punches there by Snow Junior. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Snow Junior. Sloppy strikes from Snow Junior. Those never looked like landing. Snow Junior shoots in and drives through. Jackman sprawls well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jackman swings for the body but Snow Junior moves out of range.
Snow Junior missing with a left hand there. Jackman was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Good work by Jackman as he checks the leg kick. An inside leg kick from Jackman misses. Snow Junior paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Jackman gets caught napping as Snow Junior dives in and scores a takedown. Jackman manages to retain guard. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Snow Junior wants to control from the top but Jackman keeps moving. Snow Junior is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Snow Junior trying to control the position from guard on top but Jackman is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Jackman really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Snow Junior. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Jackman is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Snow Junior dives into side control.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Snow Junior is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Jackman has escaped the position, nice work there. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jackman can do anything to dispel that myth.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Snow Junior has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Jackman! Snow Junior tries to control but Jackman wriggling away. Snow Junior takes Jackman's back.
That's five minutes gone in the round. Jackman is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. Snow Junior is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Jackman defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. Snow Junior is cranking Jackman's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Jackman! He's tightened the choke and Jackman is tapping out!
