Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Dudu Da Silva! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Alan Belcher! The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Chris Saunders and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Belcher tries to bum rush Da Silva with a series of wild strikes but Da Silva uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Belcher closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Da Silva quickly recovers to half guard. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Da Silva regains full guard. Nicely done. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Da Silva working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Belcher doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Belcher manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Da Silva has his foot on Belcher's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Belcher works his way back into a safe position though. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Da Silva wants to sweep but no luck. Da Silva is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Belcher blocking the ground and pound attempt from Da Silva. Belcher wants to improve his position but Da Silva is controlling well.
Da Silva maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Belcher could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Da Silva has cracked it and Belcher is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Da Silva!
