Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Con Dumas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Earl Simmons (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Simmons has chosen DMX - Who We Be as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 21 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Con Dumas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Earl Simmons!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Alyssa Summers and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Simmons moves forwards but Dumas connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Dumas blocks a head kick by Simmons.
Dumas looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Simmons moves into range and clinches up with Dumas.

Dumas tries to work over Simmons's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Nice body punch from Dumas - that landed with a thud.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close round but I would say that Con Dumas will probably get the nod.

Dumas feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Dumas accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Dumas seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Con Dumas.
Simmons throws a series of punches but Dumas avoids them all with ease.
Dumas dives in and grabs Simmons's left leg, looking for a takedown. Simmons pushes down on Dumas's head and hops out.
