0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Cecil Creepler! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Je shoots for a takedown but Creepler saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Creepler scores with a jab. Je closes the distance and clinches. Je manages to break the clinch.
Creepler wants to clinch and Je counters with a body kick. Creepler throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Je counters with a nice body kick.
Creepler tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Je throws a right and a left that both miss. Creepler works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Nice takedown defense from Creepler. No joy for Je on that attempt. Creepler stuffs the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ray Je. That's going to take a lot out of him. This has been an exciting period of action! No luck for Je with that takedown attempt. Je fails to land the takedown.
That's one minute gone in the round. Je shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Je passes Creepler's left leg - he's now in half guard. Je wants to take a breather but Creepler is having none of it. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Creepler can do anything to dispel that myth. Je in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Creepler tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Je!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Ray Je! A less than humble Ray Je misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
