Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between John Yossarian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and J J Tucker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). John Yossarian could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to J J Tucker's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, John Yossarian! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, J J Tucker! The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Steve Montenegro and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tucker closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Yossarian lands a hook that snaps the head of Tucker backwards. Tucker with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

Yossarian lands with a short head shot on the inside. Tucker is pressed up against the cage. Yossarian has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Tucker down to the mat. Tucker avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Tucker tries to clinch up. Tucker tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Yossarian counters with a straight punch to the midsection. J J Tucker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Tucker tries to clinch and Yossarian counters with a takedown into side control. Yossarian is trying to ground and pound but Tucker uses the momentary lack of control by Yossarian to regain half guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Yossarian throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tucker blocking the ground and pound attempt from Yossarian. Tucker moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Yossarian will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Yossarian loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Yossarian postures up in Tucker's guard and throws a big left but Tucker blocks it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tucker manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Yossarian is working hard here to advance position. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Tucker tries to control but Yossarian wriggling away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tucker is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Tucker tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

Yossarian is trying to drag Tucker to the mat but Tucker just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Tucker avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Yossarian. That's going to take a lot out of him. Tucker tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Tucker tries to close the distance and clinch up but Yossarian swats him away and circles back towards the center. Tucker tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Yossarian paws at him with a jab and circles away. Yossarian buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Tucker tries to clinch but Yossarian moves away and Yossarian counters with a lovely shot to the body. Yossarian is looking to chop away at Tucker's legs. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Yossarian lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Tucker has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Tucker and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Tucker tries to clinch but Yossarian moves out of range. Tucker throws a sloppy head kick and Yossarian moves out of range easily. Tucker moves in looking to clinch but Yossarian pushes him off. Yossarian shoots in but no luck this time. J J Tucker is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Tucker wants to clinch.

Tucker tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Yossarian paws at him with a jab and circles away. Tucker closes the distance looking to clinch enabling Yossarian to counter with a crisp jab. Yossarian bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Tucker's head. The fight stays on the outside here - Tucker looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Tucker wants to clinch but Yossarian slips to the side and Yossarian counters with a straight right hand.
It looks like J J Tucker has been cut. Yossarian misses with a double jab.
Yossarian walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Tucker tries to clinch but Yossarian moves away and Yossarian counters with a lovely straight right hand! Tucker tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Yossarian manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Tucker tries to clinch there but Yossarian circles away.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Tucker on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Tucker fails in his attempt to clinch. Tucker tries to close the distance and clinch up but Yossarian swats him away and circles back towards the center. Yossarian pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Yossarian stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Tucker. Tucker tries to clinch but Yossarian moves out of range. Yossarian is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Yossarian looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Yossarian pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Tucker is keeping the position for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Yossarian lands a couple of elbows. Tucker wants to sweep here but Yossarian controlling him for the moment. John Yossarian dominated that second round. The cut man is working on J J Tucker's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Yossarian throwing strikes but missing. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Tucker preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Yossarian is in close to Tucker's body, working some short punches and elbows. Tucker manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Yossarian manages to get himself to full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Yossarian has his foot on Tucker's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Tucker works his way back into a safe position though. Tucker pushes down on Yossarian's leg and manages to get into half guard. Tucker wants to pass the guard but Yossarian is defending well. John Yossarian overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Tucker trying to control the pace. Yossarian is not content to let Tucker control the position. Yossarian makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Yossarian.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tucker is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
The ref stands the fighters back up. J J Tucker was stalling too much, according to the referee. Tucker forces Yossarian back against the cage and clinches. Tucker pressing his opponent against the cage. Tucker with an attempt at a knee that misses.

Yossarian lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Tucker lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Yossarian shoots in and gets a takedown into Tucker's guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Tucker is pulling down on Yossarian's head to control his posture. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Yossarian working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to John Yossarian. I think Yossarian has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
