Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Carlos Gonzales (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jean Pierre Duckk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jean Pierre Duckk is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gonzales avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Duckk misses with a takedown attempt and Gonzales counters with a single leg into guard. Duckk didn't expect that. Gonzales pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Duckk is keeping the position for now. Gonzales controlling from the top position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gonzales trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Duckk avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Gonzales works a leg free and moves into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gonzales is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Gonzales prevents Duckk from improving his position. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Gonzales's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Gonzales is nestled in close to Duckk, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Duckk is defending against the submission attempts here by Gonzales.

Gonzales prevents Duckk from improving his position. Gonzales not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Gonzales passes to side control. Gonzales tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Gonzales working the ground and pound from side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gonzales controlling the position from side mount. Gonzales has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Gonzales tries for a kimura but Duckk is defending well. Gonzales in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Duckk looks to clinch and Gonzales counters with a single leg into guard. Duckk didn't expect that. Gonzales is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Gonzales throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Duckk works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Gonzales showing good wrestling skills to control the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Carlos Gonzales wasn't doing enough on the ground. Duckk pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Duckk lands a high kick to the side of Gonzales's head that stuns him and send him tumbling down to the canvas! Duckk dives into guard, looking to finish.
It looks like Carlos Gonzales has been cut. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Duckk working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Duckk trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Duckk got a little sloppy there for a moment and Gonzales has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Duckk has managed to get both his arms back between Gonzales's legs - danger averted. Duckk wants to stand but Gonzales is controlling his posture from full guard. Duckk postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Duckk pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Gonzales is keeping the position for now. Gonzales doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Gonzales is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Gonzales is figuring out what he wants to do next. Duckk has hold of Gonzales's hands but Gonzales slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Gonzales passes the guard and advances to mount!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gonzales looking to control and managing it successfully. Gonzales has hold of Duckk's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Duckk manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Gonzales throwing strikes but Duckk recovers to half guard. A much better position. Gonzales throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Ground and pound from Gonzales. Gonzales controlling the action here. Ground and pound from Gonzales. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Gonzales seems to be looking for submissions.

Carlos Gonzales dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Carlos Gonzales's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
Duckk tries to clinch up and Gonzales counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Gonzales. Gonzales content to stall in guard here. Gonzales pushing down on Duckk's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Gonzales wants to pass the guard but Duckk is defending well. Gonzales passes to side control. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gonzales is working to tighten is grip on Duckk's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Duckk has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Gonzales is really squeezing tight and eventually Duckk passes out! Gonzales breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
