The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Thiago Cunha and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Szczeniak showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Gracie.
Szczeniak circles away from the clinch attempt.
Gracie doesn't manage to clinch there - Szczeniak circles away.
Szczeniak fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Gracie dives in and grabs Szczeniak's left leg, looking for a takedown. Szczeniak pushes down on Gracie's head and hops out.

Gracie closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Gracie takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Gracie is working for a kimura but Szczeniak is defending it quite comfortably.

Gracie is stalling here. Szczeniak is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Gracie seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Szczeniak has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Gracie is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Szczeniak is just content to waste time from the top position. Gracie takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Gracie is pulling down on Szczeniak's head. It's preventing any offense from Szczeniak, at least for the moment.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Chael Gracie will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Szczeniak gets caught flat footed, as Gracie shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
