The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by De Leon or perhaps it was just good defense by Johnson which made him look bad.

Johnson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. De Leon looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Johnson postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
