Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Linh Munn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brandon Marsden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Munn comes to the cage accompanied by P-Z. Marsden is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Insane In The Membrane by Cypress Hill. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Linh Munn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Brandon Marsden!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, James Atkins and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marsden avoids a kick to the body.
Munn throws a hook but Marsden avoids it easily.
Munn misses with a hook

and Marsden counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Marsden.
Marsden misses with a hook to the ribs.
Marsden lands with a right to the head.
Marsden lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Munn blocks an uppercut.
Marsden lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Marsden has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Munn regains guard immediately.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Munn will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Marsden drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Munn manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Marsden has Munn in his guard.

Marsden is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Munn accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Munn has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Marsden working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Munn doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Munn manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Marsden has his foot on Munn's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Munn works his way back into a safe position though.

Marsden escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Munn gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Munn's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Munn wants to control from the top but Marsden keeps moving.

Munn got a little sloppy there for a moment and Marsden has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Munn has managed to get both his arms back between Marsden's legs - danger averted.

Marsden is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Munn is aware though and is defending well.

Munn drops back, looking for a kneebar! Marsden looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Marsden looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Marsden!

This has been an exciting period of action!
Marsden wants to advance to full mount but Munn doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Munn doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Marsden stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Munn swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Munn has control of Marsden's left arm, preventing Marsden from doing any damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Brandon Marsden will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Marsden thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Munn is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
