Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Josh Ferguson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and George Wahl (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). George Wahl has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
19 - 16 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Josh Ferguson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, George Wahl ! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Frank Dennis and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wahl stuffs the takedown. Wahl shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Wahl leaves Ferguson with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Wahl tries for a takedown but Ferguson sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Ferguson gets a double leg takedown into Wahl 's guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Wahl can do anything to dispel that myth. Wahl is trying to keep Ferguson in close.
Wahl utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Ferguson trying to control but Wahl is working from the bottom. Wahl controls Ferguson momentarily but Ferguson frees himself. Ferguson advances position into side control!
That's one minute gone in the round. Wahl wants to control but Ferguson postures up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ferguson is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Wahl knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Ferguson moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Wahl is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Ferguson is one step ahead and moves to full mount! Wahl has given up his back here. Will Ferguson look for the submission or keep pounding away?

Ferguson controls the position. Wahl tries to escape but Ferguson has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Ferguson is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Wahl defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. Wahl wants to escape the position.
Ferguson is looking for the choke from the back position but Wahl is controlling his hands well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wahl trying to control but not successfully. What can Wahl do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

That's four minutes gone in the round. Wahl rolls, trying to escape but Ferguson keeps control of the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Wahl has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke. Ferguson is landing with strikes. Wahl can't take much more of this. I really don't envy Wahl right now.

Ferguson is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Wahl is defending well though. Ferguson let's go of the attempt for now. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Wahl tries to escape the position.

Ferguson clinches up against the cage. Ferguson pulls guard. Ferguson bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Wahl 's guard. Wahl is controlling Ferguson's posture. Ferguson works a leg free and moves into half guard. Wahl trying to control but Ferguson postures up.
Ferguson gets to his feet - back to striking we go! Ferguson swats away the attempt to clinch by Wahl . Wahl misses with a combination
and Ferguson counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ferguson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Wahl tries to clinch up but Ferguson circles away and keeps his distance. Ferguson tries to clinch there but Wahl circles away.
Wahl moves in looking to clinch but Ferguson pushes him off. Wahl thuds his shin into the meat of Ferguson's side. Wahl tries to clinch there but Ferguson circles away.
Wahl fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Ferguson avoids it really well and circles away. Wahl throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Ferguson tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Wahl is in Ferguson's guard. Ferguson working a defensive guard here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ferguson looking for a sweep. Not yet Ferguson, not yet. Wahl tries to stand but Ferguson is controlling from the bottom. It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Ferguson here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man. Ferguson thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Wahl looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Wahl wants to control from the top but Ferguson keeps moving.

OK we're going to have a standup here. George Wahl hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. The fight stays on the outside here - Ferguson looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Ferguson gets the takedown into side control. Wahl controls the position for a moment. Ferguson wants to control but Wahl is keeping him busy. Wahl is trying to control Ferguson's posture but Ferguson avoids it. Wahl tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Ferguson wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ferguson wants to control but Wahl is keeping him busy. Wahl really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ferguson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Ferguson works to advance to full mount. Wahl defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Wahl is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Wahl is trying to escape the mount.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Ferguson working for a submission but Wahl is keeping him at bay. Ferguson trying to control but Wahl is having none of it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Josh Ferguson will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Wahl darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Wahl trying to control from Ferguson's half guard. Ferguson has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Ferguson seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Wahl controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Ferguson is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Wahl is aware though and is defending well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wahl postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Ferguson is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Wahl , into his guard. Wahl wants to stand but Ferguson is controlling the position. Ferguson showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Wahl has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Ferguson has passed into side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ferguson stands up. Wahl throws a body kick that misses. Nice takedown defense from Wahl . No joy for Ferguson on that attempt. Wahl throws an off balance right hand
and Ferguson counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Wahl tries to clinch up. Ferguson looks for a takedown but Wahl sprawls well. Wahl walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Ferguson checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Ferguson fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Wahl looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wahl closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Ferguson's guard. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Ferguson is on top in guard.
Ferguson passes easily into side control. Nice work. Ferguson working away. Wahl tries to buck Ferguson off but Ferguson is having none of it. Ferguson looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Wahl tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Ferguson wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wahl wants to control but Ferguson postures up. Wahl keeping his opponent close. Ferguson is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Wahl is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Ferguson trying to control the position but Wahl is working away. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Wahl is trying to get back to his feet.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to George Wahl . I think Ferguson has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
