The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Miles misses with a takedown attempt - Rodriguez sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Rodriguez keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Nice sprawl there from Rodriguez as Miles shoots in.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Diem Miles. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Miles looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Rodriguez wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Miles.
Rodriguez connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
It looks like Diem Miles has been cut.
Miles takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Miles closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Rodriguez to the mat! Rodriguez manages to get full guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Rodriguez can't keep his opponent in guard - Miles advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Rodriguez is trying to stand up here but Miles is controlling him well.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Rodriguez can do anything to dispel that myth.

Miles has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Rodriguez is defending well but eventually Miles manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Rodriguez has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!
