Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Solofa Fatu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bruce Leroy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fatu comes to the ring accompanied by Bad Man. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Solofa Fatu! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Bruce Leroy! The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Chris Saunders and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice uppercut lands for Fatu. That snapped Leroy's head back.
Solofa Fatu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Fatu scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Leroy is looking for a sweep. Fatu thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Fatu cracks Leroy with a big elbow. Leroy is looking to regain half guard here but Fatu keeps moving and retains side control. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Sloppy strikes there by Fatu. Fatu trying to control the action but Leroy is working from the bottom. Leroy manages to work his way to half guard, despite Fatu's best efforts.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fatu throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Leroy has hold of Fatu's hands but Fatu slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Fatu thows a huge punch but Leroy dodges it nicely.
Fatu trying to mount his opponent but Leroy defends it. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Leroy is refusing to be controlled, as Fatu sits in half guard. Fatu throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Leroy really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Fatu. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Fatu seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Leroy on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
It looks like Bruce Leroy has been cut. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Fatu is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Leroy is just riding it out for now. Fatu eventually gives up the hold. Fatu not landing any meaningful shots this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fatu wants to pass to mount but Leroy is defending the position. Nice strikes from Fatu there. Fatu passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Leroy! Fatu controlling from the full mount. Fatu working Leroy over with strikes here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fatu throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Leroy tries to lock up and control but Fatu gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Fatu unloads with some shots from mount but Leroy bucks and avoids them well.
Fatu working for a submission but Leroy is keeping him at bay. Fatu moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Leroy has worked his arm free - good work by Leroy!
Leroy is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Fatu's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Fatu throwing shots but Leroy is blocking nicely.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fatu prevents Leroy from improving his position. Fatu has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Fatu throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Fatu lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Fatu missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Fatu is looking for a kimura but Leroy is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Fatu to get the leverage. Fatu is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Leroy! Fatu with shots to the head and body - Leroy looks very uncomfortable down there. This has been an exciting period of action! Fatu punishing his opponent with strikes.
