Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Michael Dugan!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Seu Braga and Leandro Rodrigues.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dugan tries to close the distance and clinch but Albuquerque swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Nice sprawl there from Dugan as Albuquerque shoots in.
Albuquerque tries to clinch but Dugan moves out of range.
Albuquerque tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Dugan swivels and escapes.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Albuquerque.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Phil Albuquerque. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Dugan tries to clinch up.
Dugan tries to close the distance and clinch up but Albuquerque swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Dugan keeps the fight on the outside.
Albuquerque fails with an attempt to clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Dugan takes the fight into the clinch.
Dugan keeps control of Albuquerque as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Albuquerque tries to break the clinch but Dugan is controlling the position.

Dugan tries a knee to the head but Albuquerque blocks it.

Albuquerque pulls guard.
Dugan must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Albuquerque pulls Dugan in close to his closed guard and prevents Dugan from doing any damage or advancing position.
Dugan tries to stand but Albuquerque is controlling from the bottom.

Albuquerque had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Dugan is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Albuquerque Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Dugan's back instead.
Albuquerque is breathing heavily.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Dugan wants to get back to his feet.
Dugan is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

Albuquerque is looking for the choke from the back position but Dugan is controlling his hands well.

Albuquerque controls the action.

Albuquerque is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
Dugan is trying to get back to his feet but Albuquerque has full control of the position and if anything, Dugan has just worked his way into a worse spot.

Albuquerque has his arm under Dugan's chin here. Game over son! Albuquerque squeezes tightly and Dugan is forced to tap out!
