Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Rex Tyler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Brunner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tyler comes into the arena with Solonen ja Kosola - RÄPPII blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
18 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Rex Tyler! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
15 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mike Brunner! The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Nard Betker and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tyler changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Brunner tries to avoid it but Tyler manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Brunner to the ground. Brunner escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. A telegraphed right hand from Brunner misses the target. This fight brought to you by 5M nutrition - it's mmmmm tasty. Nice jab by Brunner. Tyler looks for a takedown but Brunner sprawls well. Brunner misses with a body shot.
Brunner uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Tyler has time to react. Brunner misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
A shot to the body from Brunner misses and Tyler counters with a shoot takedown. Brunner fights it but they end up in guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Tyler with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Brunner avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Brunner is looking for a triangle but Tyler pushes his legs off easily.
Tyler has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Brunner wants to get back to his feet but Tyler is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Brunner throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

That's one minute gone in the round. Brunner has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Tyler can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Tyler thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Brunner working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Tyler doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Tyler manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Tyler thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Tyler passes easily into side control. Nice work. Tyler prevents Brunner from escaping the position. Tyler wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Brunner, who protects the arm well. Brunner is pushing Tyler's head away, looking to escape. Tyler manages to hold on to the position though. Tyler tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Tyler is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Brunner knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Tyler is working Brunner over with some ground and pound from side control. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Brunner pushes Tyler away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Tyler gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Brunner takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Tyler scores with a couple of short elbows. Brunner wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Tyler working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Tyler tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Tyler has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Tyler wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Brunner, who protects the arm well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tyler tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Tyler blocks the strikes from Brunner.
Brunner takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Brunner tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops. Tyler has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Brunner has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Brunner holding both Tyler 's hands and preventing any damage. Tyler looking for the RNC. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Brunner has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Brunner fending off the submission attempt from Tyler. Tyler is looking for the choke from the back position but Brunner is controlling his hands well. The referee is taking a good look at Brunner as he is on the wrong end of some big shots from Tyler!
Brunner controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position. Brunner manages to reverse the position and now he's in Tyler's guard. Nice work there by Brunner.
Brunner is looking to stand up but Tyler won't let him. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Brunner wants to stand and escape but instead Tyler has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Tyler lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rex Tyler dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Brunner looks to score with a jab to the body but Tyler is just out of range. Brunner fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Tyler manages to avoid it. Tyler tries to score a power double leg takedown but Brunner sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Tyler somewhat. Brunner looks to land a right hand but Tyler moved out of range. Brunner jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Mike Brunner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A slow jab from Brunner misses its intended target. Brunner pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Tyler shoots and misses and Brunner counters with a shoot takedown. Tyler fights it but they end up in guard. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Brunner tries to free his leg and advance position but Tyler is retaining full guard. Tyler has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Brunner can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Brunner missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tyler is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Brunner throwing strikes but missing. Tyler wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Tyler is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Brunner pushing down on Tyler's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Brunner wants to stand but Tyler has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Brunner throws a strike but Tyler manages to get a kimura sweep and he's found himself on top with the kimura half locked in! This would be a real turnaround! He's torquing it... Will Brunner tap??? YES! He's tapped! This one is all over!
