The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fernandes stuffs the takedown attempt from Dunn. Dunn gets slowly back to his feet.
Dunn gets caught napping as Fernandes dives in and scores a takedown. Dunn manages to retain guard.
Dunn wants to stand up but Fernandes is controlling him.
Fernandes advances to half guard.
Well, if Fernandes is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Dunn fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Dunn.

Fernandes stuffs the takedown.
Fernandes throws a head kick that misses.
Fernandes decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Dunn wants to improve his position but Fernandes is controlling well.

Dunn flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Fernandes looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Dunn really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Fernandes is nestled in close to Dunn, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Fernandes content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
It looks like Fernandes might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Telmo Fernandes wasn't active enough on the ground.
Dunn fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Dunn is trying hard to land a takedown here. Fernandes sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Fernandes drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Fernandes tries to stand but Dunn is controlling from the bottom.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Dunn is on top in guard.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Dunn manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Fernandes on his heels. He'll look to pass Fernandes's guard now, I'm sure.

Fernandes fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Dunn to the ground. Fernandes is now in Dunn's guard.
Fernandes would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Fernandes has eaten all the pies!
