Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Alex Watson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anzori Gvasalia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Watson comes to the cage accompanied by MARTIN GARRIX - ANIMALS. Alex Watson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Anzori Gvasalia!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Chris Saunders and Josh West.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sloppy strikes from Gvasalia. Those never looked like landing.

Watson takes the fight into the clinch.
Watson wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Gvasalia has him pressed against the cage.

Watson has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Gvasalia is trying to keep an underhook but Watson manages to get the takedown into half guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
It looks like Watson is going to stand back up.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Watson seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

Watson drops back looking for a leg! Gvasalia is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Gvasalia manages to kick Watson off! Watson jumps back into Gvasalia's guard.
Watson has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Gvasalia is proving hard to escape from.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Gvasalia can do anything to dispel that myth.
Alex Watson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Watson sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Gvasalia's guard.

Watson seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Gvasalia for as long as he can get away with.
Watson lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Gvasalia is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Watson asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Watson is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Gvasalia knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Watson, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
