Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Steve River (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sum Crazy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). River comes to the cage accompanied by Tom Petty - I Won't Back Down . The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Steve River! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Sum Crazy! The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Felipe Paraventi and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! River throws a leg kick but Crazy moved away. River throws a low kick, looking for Crazy's leg but Crazy calmly moves out of range. River lands a slapping body shot.
Crazy gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Some bone on bone action there as Crazy checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. River tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Crazy counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Crazy throws a big right hand that misses. River knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Crazy on the ground.
That's one minute gone in the round. Crazy is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if River tries to get out of the position. River keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Crazy wants to work for an arm triangle but River is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Crazy is thwarting River's attempts to control the position. This has been an exciting period of action! River avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Crazy. Crazy missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. River wants to improve his position but Crazy is controlling well.
Crazy trying to control the action but River is working from the bottom. Crazy has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. River is looking for a sweep. Crazy is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Crazy connects with a nice short shot to River's temple. River is in trouble now - Crazy has advanced to mount! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Crazy lands a big elbow. River tries to lock up and control but Crazy gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Crazy working for a guillotine from mount but River is in no mood to give up. Crazy looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
