The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Williams shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Substance is looking for a sweep. Williams is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Substance is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Williams pulls his head out easily.
Substance wants to improve his position but Williams is controlling well.
Still in half guard, Williams seems content to control.
Substance looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
The fighters are battling for position here. Substance manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Substance had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Williams defends it easily.

Williams wants to stand but Substance has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Williams wants to control from the top but Substance keeps moving.
