Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Georgy Fokin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and The Steel Penn Alliance (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Georgy Fokin!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, The Steel Penn Alliance!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Daniel Bishop and Phil Schofield.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steel Penn Alliance throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Fokin scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fokin misses with a head shot. Steel Penn Alliance uses the momentum to regain guard.
Fokin trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Fokin accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Fokin is looking to pass into half guard but Steel Penn Alliance pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Steel Penn Alliance is in guard.

Fokin looking for a guillotine here but Steel Penn Alliance defends easily.
Fokin wants to sweep here but Steel Penn Alliance controlling him for the moment.

Fokin isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Steel Penn Alliance stacks Fokin on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Steel Penn Alliance!
Fokin is looking for a sweep.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Steel Penn Alliance has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

A left lands for Fokin.
Fokin tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Steel Penn Alliance was well out of range. Poor timing from Fokin.
Steel Penn Alliance uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Fokin.
Steel Penn Alliance lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Fokin moves out of range of the leg kick from Steel Penn Alliance.
Fokin thows a body shot but no joy.

Steel Penn Alliance throws a head kick but Fokin moves out of range.

Fokin fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Steel Penn Alliance manages to avoid it.
Steel Penn Alliance ducks under a wild hook from Fokin.
Steel Penn Alliance displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Fokin throws out the jab.
That kick from Steel Penn Alliance tenderised Fokin's leg. Fokin is trying to keep his angry face on.

Fokin takes a swing at Steel Penn Alliance's ribcage but misses.
Fokin misses with an uppercut.
Steel Penn Alliance pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Steel Penn Alliance throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Fokin swats away the attempt to clinch by Steel Penn Alliance.
Steel Penn Alliance scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
No luck for Fokin with that takedown attempt.
Fokin misses with a hook to the body
and Steel Penn Alliance counters with a flying knee. Nice.

Fokin on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Steel Penn Alliance pivots, looking for a leg kick but Fokin is out of range and Steel Penn Alliance settles back down.
Steel Penn Alliance cracks the inside of Fokin's front leg.
Fokin throws a hook to the side of Steel Penn Alliance's head but Steel Penn Alliance sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Fokin throws out a loose jab but Steel Penn Alliance uses good head movement to avoid it.
Steel Penn Alliance misses with a low kick.
Steel Penn Alliance dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Fokin. That did some damage!

Fokin scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Fokin connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Fokin misses the shot to the body.
Steel Penn Alliance throws a head kick that misses.
Fokin throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Fokin swings widly with a right hand
and Steel Penn Alliance counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Fokin avoids the head kick by Steel Penn Alliance.
Steel Penn Alliance misses with a low kick as Fokin jumps back.

Steel Penn Alliance fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Fokin is out of range.
Fokin checks the leg kick.
Fokin misses with a wild body shot.
Steel Penn Alliance throws a leg kick

and Fokin counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Fokin throwing strikes but missing.

Fokin has gone for a leg lock! Steel Penn Alliance slips out almost immediately though and dives into Fokin's guard.
Steel Penn Alliance must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Steel Penn Alliance wanted to stand there but Fokin had control of the position.

Fokin has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Steel Penn Alliance can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Fokin had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Steel Penn Alliance defends it easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but The Steel Penn Alliance will probably get the nod - 10:9.

and Fokin counters with a nice double leg into side control. Steel Penn Alliance won't be happy with that.

Fokin throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Steel Penn Alliance works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Fokin is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Poor strikes thrown by Fokin there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Steel Penn Alliance is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
Fokin looking to control but Steel Penn Alliance is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Fokin throws a strike there. Steel Penn Alliance manages to avoid it well and slips a leg under to get to half guard.

Fokin is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Steel Penn Alliance doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Fokin.

Steel Penn Alliance is refusing to be controlled, as Fokin sits in half guard.

Fokin thows a huge punch but Steel Penn Alliance dodges it nicely.

Fokin is pressing down on Steel Penn Alliance's thigh, looking to free his foot. Steel Penn Alliance is holding on for now.
