Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Rex Agullo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maggot King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Agullo kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is california love. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Agullo shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as King sprawls well. King wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Agullo gets slowly back to his feet.

Maggot King seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

King tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
King throws a sloppy head kick and Agullo moves out of range easily.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
King doesn't manage to clinch there - Agullo circles away.

King lands a nice leg kick that just misses Agullo's sensitive parts.
King looks to land a combination but Agullo avoids it well.
King keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

King fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Agullo, pushing him back against the cage.

King breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
King stuffs the takedown attempt from Agullo. Agullo gets slowly back to his feet.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Agullo is defended easily by King.

King misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

and Agullo counters with a two punch combo.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Agullo shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has King pinned against the cage. King gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Agullo closes this distance looking for a takedown but King circles away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
King tries to buck Agullo off but Agullo is having none of it.

Agullo goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, King rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Agullo's guard! Nice work there by King!
King trying to control the position from guard on top but Agullo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Maggot King hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

King clinches.
King creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Agullo's defenses.
King misses with a short punch on the inside.
Agullo has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. King avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
King goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Agullo tries to score a body lock takedown but King shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Agullo gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and King counters with a big head kick but Agullo shrugs it off.
Agullo tries for a takedown but King circles away easily
and King connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Oh Agullo is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Look low, kick high! King uses the oldest trick in the book to send Agullo tumbling to the canvas, in a truly brutal knockout! King is absolutely delighted - when Agullo wakes up, I doubt he'll be quite so happy!
