Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Otara Jon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Franek Grubson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Chris Saunders and Colin Fray.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jon closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Grubson did well to prevent Jon getting side control.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Grubson can do anything to dispel that myth.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Grubson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
