Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tee Bone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Felipe Pontes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Bone might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Somebody's gonna get it. Pontes has chosen Samba de Janeiro as his entrance music. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
30 - 28 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tee Bone! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
17 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Felipe Pontes! The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Seu Braga and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A big left from Bone misses. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Pontes is defended easily by Bone. Pontes shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Bone as he jumps to the side. Pontes tries to score a power double leg takedown but Bone sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Pontes somewhat. Tee Bone has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Felipe Pontes. Bone uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Pontes. Bone displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Pontes throws out the jab. Pontes thows a body shot but no joy. Pontes shoots in for a double leg but Bone sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Pontes fails in his attempt to clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bone looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Bone tries to pass the half guard into mount. Pontes knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Bone is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Bone lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Bone seems to be looking for submissions.
Pontes wants to get back to his feet.
Pontes is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Bone pulls his head out easily. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bone prevents Pontes from standing back up.
Pontes looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Bone wants to work for an arm triangle but Pontes is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pontes looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Pontes with the active half guard here but Bone passes nicely into side control. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Pontes is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Bone has just dragged him back down to the mat. Pontes is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Bone off and has taken his back! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bone prevents Pontes from getting a body triangle. Pontes lands with a nice looking elbow that stuns Bone.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Pontes doesn't have the hooks in and Bone manages to turn into his guard.
Bone wants to control from the top but Pontes keeps moving. Pontes has his foot on Bone's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Bone works his way back into a safe position though. Bone tries to free his leg and advance position but Pontes is retaining full guard. Bone sitting in guard here, content to control. Pontes looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Bone with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Bone trying to control but Pontes is working from the bottom. Bone passes Pontes's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Bone is keen to just control but Pontes is a slippery customer.

Pontes is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Bone with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Bone is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Pontes has managed to free his arm - good work. Pontes tries to kick Bone off but Bone keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Bone missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Bone is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Pontes sees it coming and defends easily. Bone wants to work for an arm triangle but Pontes is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Bone looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Tee Bone dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Excellent takedown into side control there by Pontes. Bone misses with a strike from the bottom. Bone is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Pontes's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Bone regains full guard. Nicely done. Tee Bone overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Pontes trying to control the position from guard on top but Bone is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Pontes showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bone keeping moving, preventing Pontes from controlling successfully. Bone wants to stand up but Pontes is controlling him. Pontes content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Bone is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Pontes defends well. Pontes trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Bone is looking for a triangle but Pontes pushes his legs off easily.

Bone goes for an armbar but Pontes turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Pontes. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Pontes pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Bone is keeping the position for now. Pontes throws a big right hand that misses. Pontes stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bone swivels though and keeps the full guard. Bone is looking for a triangle but Pontes pushes his legs off easily.
Bone is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pontes pushes Bone off looking to stand but Bone dives back in and keeps control.
Bone is looking to take a break and control but Pontes is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Pontes actively working from the bottom here. Pontes is not content to let Bone control the position. Bone looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Pontes is trying to stand up here but Bone is controlling him well. Bone is pressing down on Pontes's thigh, looking to free his foot. Pontes is holding on for now. Bone is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Pontes is just riding it out for now. Bone eventually gives up the hold.

Pontes regains full guard. Nicely done. Bone wants to control from the top but Pontes keeps moving. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Pontes is looking to stand up but Bone isn't so interested in that idea. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Tee Bone will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Pontes closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Bone's guard. Bone keeping moving, preventing Pontes from controlling successfully. Bone is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Pontes defends well. Pontes must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Bone is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Bone is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Pontes is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Bone is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Bone has escaped and now he's on top! Pontes has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Bone can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bone postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Pontes is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Pontes is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Bone defends well. Pontes takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Bone postures up in Pontes's guard and throws a big left but Pontes blocks it. Pontes is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Bone got a little sloppy there for a moment and Pontes has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Bone has managed to get both his arms back between Pontes's legs - danger averted. Bone passes into half guard. Felipe Pontes has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pontes is looking to escape. Bone wants to lay and pray for a moment but Pontes keeps working. Bone prevents Pontes from standing back up.

Bone uses his free foot to push down on Pontes's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Pontes. Bone punishing his opponent with strikes. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Bone trying to control but Pontes is having none of it. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Bone has control of Pontes's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Pontes regains control of the situation pretty easily.
And that's the end of the fight! Tee Bone showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Bone, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
