The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rhymes jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Rhymes explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Sloppy strikes from Chavez. Those never looked like landing.
Chavez throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Busta Rhymes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Chavez swings for the body but Rhymes moves out of range.

Chavez gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.

Chavez breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Rhymes swings away with a body shot that misses
and Chavez counters with a left to the body.
Rhymes throws a body punch but Chavez moves out of range.
Rhymes misses with the body kick
enabling Chavez to counter with a crisp jab.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Chavez tries to clinch but Rhymes is having none of it.
Rhymes throws a head kick that misses
and Chavez counters with a series of strikes. Rhymes will be more careful next time no doubt.
Rhymes misses with a body kick.
Chavez steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Rhymes. That one must have hurt.

That's one minute gone in the round.
A good leg kick by Chavez.
Rhymes looks to score with a jab to the body but Chavez is just out of range.
Rhymes throws a sloppy head kick and Chavez moves out of range easily.
Hugo Chavez is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Chavez lands a big uppercut and Rhymes crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Rhymes looks OK. Chavez waves Rhymes back to his feet!

Rhymes is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
BAM! Chavez delivers a spinning backfist that drops Rhymes like a ragdoll! This is all oooooveeeer! He was out before he hit the ground!

A relieved looking Hugo Chavez thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
