Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Tic Tac (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ian Macdonald (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tic Tac! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ian Macdonald! The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Anthony Taglia and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tac tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Macdonald swivels and escapes. Macdonald misses with a wild combination.
Macdonald pushes Tac up against the cage in a clinch. Macdonald escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Tac shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Macdonald as he jumps to the side. Tac gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Macdonald counters with a shoot takedown. Tac fights it but they end up in guard. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tic Tac. That's going to take a lot out of him. Macdonald wants to control from the top but Tac keeps moving. Tac working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Macdonald doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Macdonald manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Macdonald is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
That's one minute gone in the round. Macdonald tries to free his leg and advance position but Tac is retaining full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Tac working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Macdonald. Tac knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Macdonald on the ground. Macdonald stays in close to Tac's body and controls the position.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Ian Macdonald hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Macdonald looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Macdonald shoots for a double leg takedown but Tac sprawls well. He's pushed Macdonald's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Tac shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Macdonald but Macdonald pushes him off and we're back to square one. Tac stuffs the takedown attempt from Macdonald. Macdonald gets slowly back to his feet. Tac fails with the takedown and Macdonald counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tac looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Tac is breathing heavily. Macdonald keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Macdonald looks to score some points with some ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Macdonald seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Macdonald lands with a punch from half guard. Macdonald perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Macdonald is looking to take a break and control but Tac is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Macdonald wants to pass the guard but Tac is defending well. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Macdonald is keen to just control but Tac is a slippery customer.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Ian Macdonald was stalling too much, according to the referee. Tac misses with a takedown and Macdonald moves into the clinch. Tac tries to score a body lock takedown but Macdonald shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Tac tightens his grip and picks Macdonald up, before dumping him to the ground. Macdonald manages to land in guard. Tac tries to free his leg and advance position but Macdonald is retaining full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Macdonald manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Macdonald landing punches. Tac has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Macdonald punishes Tac with strikes from the back mount. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Macdonald looking to soften up his opponent with punches.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ian Macdonald dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Macdonald looks to land a combination but Tac avoids it well. Tac tries to keep at a distance but Macdonald has taken the fight into the clinch. Macdonald looking to stall.
Tac misses with some punches.
Tac lands on the inside with an uppercut. Tac goes for a takedown attempt but Macdonald pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Tac wants to clinch. Macdonald displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Tac. Tac will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tic Tac. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tac tries to score a power double leg takedown but Macdonald sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Tac somewhat. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Macdonald moves into range and clinches up with Tac. Tac pushes Macdonald back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Macdonald prevents a takedown attempt there.
Tac has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Macdonald avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Tac drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Macdonald gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Macdonald manages to pull guard.
Macdonald is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Tac drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Macdonald dives on top into guard. Macdonald passes Tac's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Macdonald wants to control but Tac is keeping him busy. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Macdonald keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Ian Macdonald wasn't active enough on the ground. Tac gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Macdonald counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Tac's guard now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Macdonald cracks Tac with a solid left hand. Macdonald controlling from the top position. Macdonald trying to control but Tac is working from the bottom. Macdonald trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Macdonald trying to control the position from guard on top but Tac is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Tac on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Tac tries to get out of the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Ian Macdonald. Tac misses with a takedown attempt - Macdonald sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Nice sprawl there from Tac as Macdonald shoots in. Tac uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Macdonald.
Macdonald tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Tac was well out of range. Poor timing from Macdonald. Tac with a poor takedown and Macdonald counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Tac's guard now. This has been an exciting period of action! Macdonald engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Macdonald is pushing down on Tac's leg trying to pass to half guard. Tac is fighting to maintain full guard but Macdonald has managed to sneak the leg through. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ian Macdonald showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Tac fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Macdonald clinches up against the cage. Macdonald is defending well against a takedown attempt. Tac changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Macdonald fights it off and pushes away nicely.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tic Tac. That's going to take a lot out of him. A momentary lapse in concentration from Tac enables Macdonald to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Tac manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Macdonald gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Tac shoots for a double leg takedown but Macdonald sprawls well. He's pushed Tac's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Macdonald moves into range and clinches up with Tac. Macdonald drags the fight down to the ground.
Tac has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Macdonald is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Tac rolls with it to try and escape but Macdonald cranks on the arm and Tac is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
