Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sam Supranovich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ashton Ellis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Supranovich comes to the cage accompanied by The Court of the Crimson King. Sam Supranovich looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sam Supranovich! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Supranovich doesn't manage to clinch there - Ellis circles away.
Supranovich looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Ellis shoots in for a double leg but Supranovich sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. No luck with that takedown attempt from Ellis. Ellis darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Ellis controlling the action here. Ellis wants to free his trapped foot but Supranovich is holding on for dear life with his legs. It looks like Ellis is going to stand back up.
Ellis wants to pass to mount but Supranovich is defending the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Ellis in particular looking to stall.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Ashton Ellis. Ellis shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Ellis was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! The referee asks Ellis politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Ellis prefers to stall for the moment though. Ellis wants to stand but Supranovich is controlling his arm. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ellis is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Supranovich will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ellis decides to take the fight back to the feet. Supranovich gets caught napping as Ellis dives in and scores a takedown. Supranovich manages to retain guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Ellis passes easily into side control. Nice work. Ellis wants to stand but Supranovich has his arm trapped. Ellis tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ellis in side control, just content to control the action for now. Ellis tries to advance to mount but can't. Ellis controlling the position. Ellis advances nicely into full mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ellis controlling from mount. Ellis's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Ellis moves to the back position. Ellis is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ellis tries for a takedown but Supranovich sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Ellis shoots in for a double leg but Supranovich sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Horrible takedown by Ellis or perhaps it was just good defense by Supranovich which made him look bad. Sam Supranovich has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ashton Ellis. Nice takedown defense from Supranovich. No joy for Ellis on that attempt. Ellis fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Supranovich avoids it really well and circles away. Ellis shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Supranovich manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Ellis wants to get up but he can't break Supranovich's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Ellis sitting in guard here, content to control. Let's hope that Ellis has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Ashton Ellis wasn't active enough on the ground. Supranovich gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Ellis to score an easy takedown into full guard. Ellis's corner is telling him to maintain position. Ellis wants to stand but Supranovich is controlling his posture from full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Supranovich can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Ellis controls the pace. Ellis advances position into side control! Supranovich is being controlled here. Ellis tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.

Ellis is in Supranovich's guard. Ellis controls from within his opponent's guard. Ellis wants to stand but Supranovich is controlling his posture from full guard. Ellis has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Ellis is stalling in the full guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Ellis passes into half guard. Ashton Ellis showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Supranovich tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Ellis throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Supranovich tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Ellis is in Supranovich's guard. Ellis controls from within his opponent's guard. Ellis looking to pass the guard. Ellis sitting in guard, not really doing much. Both fighters are breathing heavily. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Ashton Ellis hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Ellis shoots in and bounces Supranovich off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Ellis is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ellis pushing down on Supranovich's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Ellis uses his free foot to push down on Supranovich's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Supranovich. Ellis tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

And that's the end of the fight! Ashton Ellis comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Ellis has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
