Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kevin Wilson! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mark Witten! The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Jonathan Paton and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice takedown defense from Wilson. No joy for Witten on that attempt. Nice body kick there by Witten. Witten fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Wilson manages to avoid it. Witten darts in trying to clinch and Wilson moves into the clinch. Wilson keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Witten's efforts to push away. Wilson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Witten misses with a series of wild punches.
Witten fails to land the takedown. Witten instigates a clinch. Witten wants to get back to striking at distance but Wilson won't allow it.

That's one minute gone in the round. Wilson darts in and clinches Witten up against the cage. Witten tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Kevin Wilson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mark Witten. Witten is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Wilson gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Wilson has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Witten regains guard immediately. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Wilson trying to control but Witten is working from the bottom. Wilson is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Wilson has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Witten avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Witten can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Wilson controls the pace. Witten is controlling Wilson's posture.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Witten is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Witten looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Wilson is defending well. Witten quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Wilson has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Witten celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
