PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jean Sibelius (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ed Gein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gein comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Dead Skin Mask kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Ed Gein has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 30 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jean Sibelius!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ed Gein!
The judges for this bout are , Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gein scores with a leg kick.
Sibelius shoots for a takedown but Gein saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
A combination from Sibelius does no damage.
Gein leaves Sibelius with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Gein connects with a leg kick. Sibelius looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Sibelius swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Gein swings for the body but Sibelius moves out of range.
Gein throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Gein takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Gein looks to land a body kick but Sibelius moved away.

Sibelius shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Gein manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Gein wants to sweep here but Sibelius controlling him for the moment.

You can see the frustration on Gein's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Sibelius tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Sibelius has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Sibelius tries to score with some ground and pound. Gein controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Sibelius lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Sibelius throws a looping overhand right but Gein ducks down to avoid it.
