PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Burt Bedlan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nirre Nirresson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bedlan has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Burt Bedlan looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nirresson decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Bedlan looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Nirresson lands a nice short elbow.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Nirresson connects with a nice short shot to Bedlan's temple.

Nirresson seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bedlan has hold of Nirresson's hands but Nirresson slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Nirresson working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Bedlan is in trouble now - Nirresson has advanced to mount!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Nirresson cracks Bedlan with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
