Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Yngwie Wynsten!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Chris Matthews!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Franklyn Lucas and Anthony Taglia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wynsten shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Matthews defends it nicely.
Nice sprawl there from Matthews as Wynsten shoots in.

Wynsten dives in and scores a takedown into Matthews's guard.
Matthews is trying to control the position but Wynsten postures up.
Matthews is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Wynsten is controlling him.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wynsten not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Wynsten thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Wynsten sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Wynsten tries to free his leg and advance position but Matthews is retaining full guard.

Matthews is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Wynsten throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Wynsten is looking to work some ground and pound but Matthews has wrist control.

Wynsten drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Wynsten jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Matthews keeping moving, preventing Wynsten from controlling successfully.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Wynsten accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Wynsten not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Matthews wants to stand and escape but Wynsten is having none of it.
Wynsten advances position into side control!

Wynsten is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Matthews is trying to escape and Wynsten transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Matthews is forced to tap! Nice work there by Wynsten! Very nice indeed!
