Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Artur Sowinski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jin Kazama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sowinski comes to the cage accompanied by Totentanz-Swiatlo Dnia. Artur Sowinski could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Jin Kazama's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Artur Sowinski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jin Kazama!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Skip Squint and Bruno Hogan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kazama with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Sowinski to score with a decent uppercut.

Kazama takes the fight into the clinch.
Sowinski is trying to break the clinch but Kazama has him pressed against the cage.

Kazama breaks the clinch.
Kazama misses with a few strikes there.
Sowinski throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Kazama looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Sowinski slaps away a takedown attempt from Kazama, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Kazama tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Sowinski swivels and escapes.
Sowinski jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Sowinski lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Kazama staying out of range there.
Kazama lands a front kick.
Kazama shoots in for a takedown but Sowinski shows good takedown defense.
Artur Sowinski has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jin Kazama.
Kazama uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Sowinski.
Artur Sowinski is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Sowinski looks to throw the jab but Kazama is out of range.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Kazama is defended easily by Sowinski.
The fighters circling - Sowinski throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Kazama misses with a body kick.
Kazama slips a jab from Sowinski.
That kick from Kazama tenderised Sowinski's leg. Sowinski is trying to keep his angry face on.
Sowinski throws a right and a left that Kazama avoids nicely.
Kazama defending well as Sowinski loads up on a big left hand.
Sowinski throws a hook but Kazama blocks it.
Kazama tries a head kick but it misses.
Kazama is looking to chop away at Sowinski's legs.
Sowinski throws an overhand right that lands on Kazama's shoulder, as Kazama tries to avoid the shot.
Kazama tries to clinch but Sowinski is having none of it.
Kazama throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Sowinski throws out a loose jab but Kazama uses good head movement to avoid it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Kazama moves into range and clinches up with Sowinski.

Kazama turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Kazama throws a strike aimed at the side of Sowinski's head but Sowinski avoids it well.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Sowinski wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Kazama is staying tight to Sowinski's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Sowinski avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Kazama.

Kazama tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Kazama has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Sowinski tries to improve position but can't.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kazama decides to stand back up. Kazama steps back and let's Sowinski get back to his feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kazama fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Kazama ducks under a wild hook from Sowinski.
Jin Kazama seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kazama displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Sowinski throws out the jab.

Kazama gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Kazama pulls guard successfully.
Sowinski stops Kazama from standing up.
Kazama not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Sowinski knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kazama on the ground.
Kazama has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kazama working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Sowinski doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Sowinski manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Kazama is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Sowinski defends well.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Kazama seems keen to control Sowinski's posture.

Sowinski postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Kazama is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Sowinski, into his guard.

Sowinski is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kazama passes easily into side control. Nice work.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Sowinski wants to get back to his feet but Kazama drags him back down.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jin Kazama dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Kazama rushes Sowinski and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Kazama lands a body punch in the clinch.
Sowinski is trying to pull guard but Kazama has him pressed against the cage.
Kazama lands on the inside with an uppercut.

Kazama escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Sowinski takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Kazama slips under a jab.
Kazama seems to be stalking Sowinski here. He circles momentarily and then unleashes a devastatic head kick! Sowinski drops like a stone, out cold! WOW! Are you kidding me!? What a knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:30 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Jin Kazama!
