Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Henry Aarons (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Terrell Suggs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Terrell Suggs is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Henry Aarons!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Terrell Suggs!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Aarons closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Suggs quickly recovers to half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Aarons tries to pass the half guard into mount. Suggs knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Aarons is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Aarons is looking for a kimura but Suggs is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Aarons to get the leverage.
Suggs is trying to get back to full guard.
Suggs is trying to stand.

Aarons is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Suggs is just riding it out for now. Aarons eventually gives up the hold.
Suggs tries to roll over but Aarons keeps him under control.

Aarons looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Suggs trying to hold on to Aarons's head to control him but Aarons postures up.

Aarons is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Suggs is just riding it out for now. Aarons eventually gives up the hold.

Aarons is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Suggs has managed to free his arm - good work.

Aarons is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Suggs wants to control but Aarons is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Suggs is pressing down on Aarons's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Suggs wants to stand and escape but Aarons is having none of it.
Suggs wants to sweep here but Aarons controlling him for the moment.
Aarons pushes down on Suggs's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Suggs is trying to stand.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Aarons is looking for a kimura here.

Aarons is working for a submission of some sort.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Suggs wants to improve his position but Aarons is controlling well.
Suggs wants to get back to his feet.
Suggs tries to get to full guard but Aarons has control of the leg.
Suggs wants to get back to his feet.

Aarons is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Suggs defends it well.
Suggs really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Aarons. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Suggs is defending against the submission attempts here by Aarons.
Suggs gets back to full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Aarons drops back looking for a leg! Suggs is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Suggs manages to kick Aarons off! Aarons jumps back into Suggs's guard.
Suggs wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Aarons postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Suggs is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Aarons, into his guard.
Suggs throws a strike but Aarons rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.

Henry Aarons dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Aarons is trying hard to land a takedown here. Suggs sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Aarons fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Suggs throws a right and a left that both miss.
Aarons takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Henry Aarons is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Suggs changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Suggs closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Suggs takes a swing at Aarons's ribcage but misses.
Good shot there by Suggs.


Aarons is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Aarons fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Suggs avoids it really well and circles away.
Oh Aarons is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Aarons misses with a jab, cross combination.
Aarons shoots in for a double leg but Suggs sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Aarons seems to have got his legs back now.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Henry Aarons. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Suggs uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Aarons.
Aarons takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Suggs rushes Aarons with punches - Aarons moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Aarons goes down! Suggs follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Terrell Suggs!
In his post fight interview, Terrell Suggs started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
