The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Summer Carpenter and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bulger stuffs the takedown attempt from Hax. Hax gets slowly back to his feet.
Hax throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Bulger was covering up waiting for the punch and Hax finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Hax content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Hax postures up in Bulger's guard and throws a big left but Bulger blocks it.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Hax accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Hax has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hax lands a couple of digs.
Hax drops back, looking for a kneebar! Bulger looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Bulger looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Bulger!
Hax is trying to control Bulger's posture but Bulger avoids it.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
You can see the frustration on Hax's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ged Hax dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Hax manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Bulger on his heels. He'll look to pass Bulger's guard now, I'm sure.
Bulger had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Hax defends it easily.
Bulger controls Hax momentarily but Hax frees himself.
Bulger manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Hax tries to hold on but Bulger pushes him away.

Bulger thows a huge punch but Hax dodges it nicely.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Bulger lands a nice short elbow.

Hax is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Bulger's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Bulger's back!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hax working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Bulger is doing well to defend. Hax seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Bulger is forced to tap and this one is over!
