Avila comes to the cage accompanied by DMX - Ain't No Sunshine. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Avila throws an overhand right that lands on Davis's shoulder, as Davis tries to avoid the shot.
Avila connects with a jab.
Avila connects with a body shot that sends Davis's belly button to the back.
Davis takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Avila closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Davis lands a jab.
Eric Avila seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Avila lands a slapping body shot.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Davis doesn't manage to clinch there - Avila circles away.
Avila lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

It looks like Robert Davis has been cut.
Avila scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Davis takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Avila keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Davis needs to keep his hands up - Avila had a free shot at his head there.

Davis takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Davis shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Avila pinned against the cage. Avila gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Avila lands a slapping body shot.
Avila uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Davis.
Davis with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Avila to score with a decent uppercut.
Davis walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Avila lands a nice shot that snaps Davis's head back.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Avila throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Davis.
Davis tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Avila ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Avila clobbers Davis with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
No joy there for Avila, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Avila stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Avila wants it to stay on the feet.
Avila's jab looks to have found its range, popping Davis under the eye.

Avila drops Davis with a beautiful combination! Davis stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Avila is looking for the KO!

Davis is rocked!
Avila fakes the leg kick and throws a superman punch. It's knocked Davis out cold! Brutal finish!
