Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between John Barris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fahad Joudeh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Joudeh comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Vinnie Paz - Razor Gloves kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The key to victory for John Barris has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barris lands a really nice looking cross but Joudeh seems unphased.
Nice sprawl there from Barris as Joudeh shoots in.
Joudeh shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Joudeh was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Barris is looking to regain half guard here but Joudeh keeps moving and retains side control.
Joudeh tries to score with some ground and pound. Barris controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Barris regains half guard, as Joudeh was trying to land strikes.
The fighters are battling for position here. Barris manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Joudeh tries to free his leg and advance position but Barris is retaining full guard.
Barris bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Joudeh's guard.
Joudeh looking to hit a scissor sweep but Barris is one step ahead there.
Barris controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Barris drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Joudeh dives on top into guard.
Barris pulls Joudeh in close to prevent any damage.

Barris wants to stand and escape but Joudeh is having none of it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Fahad Joudeh hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Barris scores with a nice body kick.
Barris shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Barris showed some decent athleticism there.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Barris is pressing down on Joudeh's thigh, looking to free his foot. Joudeh is holding on for now.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Joudeh is staying active underneath Barris, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Joudeh won't allow Barris to pass to mount.

Barris wants to take a breather but Joudeh is having none of it.

Barris rushes Joudeh and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Barris is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Joudeh gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Barris is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Joudeh can't fight it off and eventually Barris manages to take the fight to the floor. Joudeh looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up. John Barris wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Barris scores with a one two! Joudeh had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Joudeh swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Barris counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Joudeh gets caught flat footed, as Barris shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Barris looking to sit in guard and control but Joudeh gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Barris working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Joudeh doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Joudeh manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Barris looking for a guillotine here but Joudeh defends easily.
Barris is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Barris escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Joudeh gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Joudeh slips nicely into half guard.
Joudeh wants to lay and pray for a moment but Barris keeps working.
Barris gets back to full guard.
Joudeh wants to control from the top but Barris keeps moving.
Barris is looking to sinch up a triangle. Joudeh throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Barris's body to avoid the submission. Barris has instead reached around Joudeh's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Barris arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
