Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Josh Mica (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and james kent (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mica comes into the arena with Remember the name by Fort Minor blaring out of the sound system. kent has chosen i can ride my bike with no handlebars as his entrance music. Josh Mica has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mica throws a combination. kent tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Mica!
kent shoots for a takedown but Mica saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Mica stuffs the takedown.
kent misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Josh Mica has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of james kent.

kent clinches with his opponent.

kent jumps guard.
kent looking for a sweep. Not yet kent, not yet.
kent wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Mica wants to stand and escape but instead kent has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Mica trying to keep a closed guard but kent is proving a slippery customer.
Mica wants to get back to his feet but kent is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Mica trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

Mica is looking to escape.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Mica works over kent's head and body with a nice combination.
Mica throws a sloppy head kick and kent moves out of range easily.
Mica lands with a slapping head kick.
kent throws a series of punches but Mica moves out of range.
kent looks gassed!
A slapping body kick lands there for Mica.
Mica lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
kent shoots in for a takedown but Mica shows good takedown defense.

Mica misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Mica throws a right and a left that kent avoids nicely.
Mica lands with a kick to the temple. kent shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

kent is rocked!
kent sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
kent is still on wobbly legs! Can Mica finish him?
Mica lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Mica misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
kent shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Mica but Mica pushes him off and we're back to square one.
kent tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Mica swivels and escapes.
Mica stuffs the takedown attempt from kent. kent gets slowly back to his feet.
A head kick misses from Mica.
Mica connects with a solid leg kick.
kent seems to have recovered his senses.

Mica gets caught flat footed, as kent shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
kent scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Mica wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and kent is now in half guard.
Mica is trying to stand up here but kent is controlling him well.

kent decides to stand up.
kent takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
A slapping body kick lands there for Mica.
Mica works over kent's head and body with a nice combination.
A left and a right from Mica both land. Nice combination.
Mica lands a brutal head kick. kent looks out on his feet and Mica throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
