Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Darrent Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stevie Tal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Darrent Williams! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Stevie Tal! The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Bruno Hogan and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tal fails with an attempt to clinch.
Williams drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Tal wants to sweep but no luck. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Tal trying to strike off his back.
Williams is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Tal is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Tal has escaped and now he's on top! Tal trying to control the position from guard on top but Williams is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Tal avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Williams is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Tal defends well. Tal drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Tal jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Williams preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Tal thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Tal trying to control but Williams is working from the bottom. Williams has his foot on Tal's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Tal works his way back into a safe position though. Williams working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Tal doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Tal manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Williams escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Tal gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Williams looking for a guillotine here but Tal defends easily.
Williams is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tal drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Tal jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Tal trying to stand up but can't free himself from Williams's guard. Williams is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Tal defends well. Tal got a little sloppy there for a moment and Williams has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Tal has managed to get both his arms back between Williams's legs - danger averted. Tal looking to sit in guard and control but Williams gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Williams has gone for a leg lock! Tal slips out almost immediately though and dives into Williams's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tal trying to control but Williams is working from the bottom. Williams on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Williams tries to get out of the position. Williams looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Tal passes into side control.
Tal wants to lay and pray for a moment but Williams keeps working. Williams is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Tal's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Williams is defending against the submission attempts here by Tal.
Tal is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Williams manages to get to full guard.

Tal thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Tal wants to get up but he can't break Williams's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Darrent Williams will probably get the nod. That's time! Williams's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Williams shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Tal's guard. Williams drops back, looking for a kneebar! Tal looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Tal looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Tal! Tal is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Williams is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Tal has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Williams is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Tal yanks on the arm and Williams is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Tal.
