Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Grzegorz Bobs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Guil Ribeiro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ribeiro is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Run This Town. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Guil Ribeiro! The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Saam Ante and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bobs throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Ribeiro shoots in for a double leg but Bobs sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Bobs really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Ribeiro has Bobs up against the cage in a clinch.
Bobs tries to pull guard but Ribeiro forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Ribeiro pulls Bobs into guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Ribeiro keeping moving, preventing Bobs from controlling successfully. Bobs thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Ribeiro looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Bobs stands up and waves to Ribeiro to follow him. Ribeiro moves in looking to clinch but Bobs pushes him off.
That's one minute gone in the round. The crowd cheers as Ribeiro lands an impressive looking overhand right. Bobs doesn't seem phased though. Bobs closes the distance and clinches. Ribeiro creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Bobs breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Bobs throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Ribeiro's waist but Ribeiro gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Bobs off to one side. Bobs moves into the clinch. Ribeiro taking a breather. Ribeiro tries to pull guard but Bobs holds him up against the cage and eventually Ribeiro drops back down to his feet.

Ribeiro's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Bobs avoids the head kick by Ribeiro.
Ribeiro shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Grzegorz Bobs has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Guil Ribeiro. Bobs shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Ribeiro pinned against the cage. Ribeiro gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Ribeiro gets in close and instigates a clinch. Bobs pulls guard effortlessly. Ribeiro wants to pass the guard but Bobs is keeping the position. Bobs is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Ribeiro swinging wildly here.
Guil Ribeiro seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ribeiro takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Bobs gets tackled into the cage by Ribeiro. Ribeiro maintains the clinch. Bobs lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Bobs breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Ribeiro cracks Bobs with a good jab. Bobs is looking to clinch but Ribeiro is avoiding it.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Ribeiro takes the fight into the clinch. Bobs jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Ribeiro walks away with a smile on his face. Bobs gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Bobs showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Ribeiro.
Bobs shoots in and gets a takedown into Ribeiro's guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Bobs with a nice head shot there. Bobs wanted to stand there but Ribeiro had control of the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Ribeiro pulls Bobs in to control the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Guil Ribeiro will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Bobs is trying hard to land a takedown here. Ribeiro sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Ribeiro closes the distance and pushes Bobs back into the cage. Ribeiro drags the fight down to the ground.
Ribeiro is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bobs wants to pass the guard but Ribeiro is keeping the position. Bobs showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Bobs stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ribeiro swivels though and keeps the full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Bobs slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Bobs thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Bobs wants to control from the top but Ribeiro keeps moving. Bobs is pushing down on Ribeiro's leg trying to pass to half guard. Ribeiro is fighting to maintain full guard but Bobs has managed to sneak the leg through. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Ribeiro is trying to control but can't.

The fight stays on the outside here - Ribeiro looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Ribeiro closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Bobs did well to prevent Ribeiro getting side control. Bobs moves into full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round. Ribeiro is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Bobs is trying to control the position from the bottom.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Guil Ribeiro hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Bobs digs a good hook to Ribeiro's body.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Grzegorz Bobs. I think Ribeiro has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
